Always Learning

Always Learning

I have always thought that I wanted to share some of my thoughts and wisdom in a public forum, but never got up the courage to do so. Finding your voice in life can be a difficult and uncomfortable process for some of us with traumatic pasts. We tend to be somewhat insecure about how we sound to others. Over the years I have tried using a mirror to see how I look when I speak, smile or practice other facial expressions. this has helped me tremendously in finding my voice and closing the gap between what my brain tells me I sound and look like, and what I actually sound and look like to others. Of course, all of this is tied to my overall level of self-acceptance, gratitude and sense of how I can best serve others with who I am and what I am good at. It wasn't until I did some footwork in my life and pursued a spiritual course of change, did I begin to embrace that I was good at something that was always my craft and a work in progress.
